Could Lucas be A.D on Pretty Little Liars?

Warning - Spoilers ahead.

Why I think he could be A.D or Team A.D: His name is mentioned so much throughout the season, I think it's their way of telling us 'don't forget him' and for a good reason. Someone said that in the latest preview for the last 10 episodes they keep showing Lucas's apartment door which is room number 2A. Think about it, it could be a subtle way of Marlene telling us that this door takes us "2 A" , or to A...If that makes sense.

This may seem extreme but I can see Lucas being part of Team A.D or A.D himself. He always loved Hanna and wanted to be with her and she always overlooked him and they were never together. The only reason I would hope he's not A.D is because I want to believe he is a good guy. But CeCe/Charlotte held a grudge against her DAD but targeted the liars, so Lucas does not need a STRONG motive.

--- My theory below ---

1. The day A.D first texted the Liars was conveniently the same day Lucas came back to Rosewood after years of not being there. He also happened to bump into Hanna in the café.

2. When he met Hanna he said he sold a company and now makes app games. We also know that he has a lot of money because he named a few places he lives. Lucas being A.D and having a lot of money would make sense since A.D can afford so many Limos. He also drives a really expensive car, but he wouldn't want to be seen in it (especially since Hanna noticed it). So why not get a limo if he could afford one? Perhaps he too, took over the 'A' game since he just came into wealth, or always has been part of team /A.D but now is the leader. A.D himself?

3. When Hanna tells Lucas at the café she and Caleb are just friends, to me, his facial expression is kind of like 'yeah, okay, whatever'. Maybe he was watching them and knows they may be friends but want to be more - and as we know, they get back together.

4. Hanna was at his apartment and he showed her designs of the warehouse he bought. Remember the episode where Hanna sends a text to AD saying 'Leave my friends alone. I killed Charlotte'? - We saw binary digits fly across the city and end up at what looked like a warehouse...This would tie in with the fact Lucas gave up his apartment and stopped staying at the Radley since A.D would need a more permeant base for all his creepy photos, gadgets and games - aka the warehouse he just bought!

5. In 6X13, Hanna came to him to say he wants him to be her alibi for the night Charlotte died. But we know she didn't do anything wrong. Maybe Lucas thinks Hanna knows what happened as later that day, they all get a text from A.D saying he know they know what happened and now he wants revenge for who killed Charlotte. Maybe Lucas and Charlotte had a secret of their own going on and that's why he wants revenge as he misses her?

Further to this clue, when Hanna says "Were you here the night Charlotte DiLaurentis was killed?", he quickly says "Why?" as if he has something to hide. Remember, he did destroy Ali's memorial. He hated Ali so it is no surprise he wants revenge since she bullied him a lot, was this his revenge?

6. Marlene loves to put in subtle hints in names or phrases as clues. Lucas' surname is Gottesman, which means "Man of God". Here we see A.D in a limo and in its window, a reflection of the Bell Church Tower. Lucas was not back by this point so perhaps wanted to wait to tell them(or 'accidently' bump into Hanna). Could this be a reflection of who he is, a 'man of god' hence the church? (I found this clue online so credit to whoever found it!)

7. When A.D visits Charlottes' grave, a man says "I'm sorry for your loss, Sir". Does this mean A. is a man? Therefore Lucas would obviously still be a contender for A.D.

8. Tyler (who plays Caleb) said "We have seen A.D before, but we haven't". Obviously our first thoughts are twins - but this storyline (to me) is so boring and predictable. What if it means the same person but different personality. Before Lucas left, he was still quite shy, with not a lot of money or a job like he has now. Flip forward to today and he is rich with lots of places and a luxury lifestyle. Could it be a different personality he was talking about?

9. In 3X15, Lucas admits that he was the one to set off the explosion that almost killed Meredith. Then in 7X07, we see another explosion at Alison's Aunt Carols' basement. Not to mention when Aria was burnt by fire in his apartment when the system 'malfunctioned' in 6X18. Lucas is tech-savvy and knows how to work it considering he is an app/Game developer. Did he rig the system? I find it strange how it happened as Aria stood right in front of it and at Hanna's Bridal shower?

10. When Aria was in hospital in 6X18, A.D sent her a text saying "You didn't take me seriously so thought I'd light a *fire emoji* under your ass". This again, goes back to 3X03 where he set fire to a letter in school as he was angry. In 3X15, he then says "I didn't want to scare her (Meredith)", referring to the explosion again. It seems both A.D and Lucas have a thing for fire, explosions and tech!

11. When Hanna had her Bridal shower at Lucas' apartment, the alarm goes off, it sounds just like the one at the dollhouse?! Um WHAT??? EXPLAIN!

12. THIS PART WILL BLOW. YOUR. MIND! -- In 6X19, when Hanna and Caleb walk into his apartment, the fire goes off and Lucas said "Sorry, I just wanted to make sure that would work from anywhere in the apartment" - OMGosh...need you anymore evidence?! Was he really making sure it was fixed or just testing it out for further use?

13. Lucas gives Hanna the keys to his apartment and says he will be out of town. The next thing we know is that AD sends a photo to the liars of a golf club and they later realise the floor matches the one in the Radley, meaning AD is staying there and is not a permanent residence of Rosewood...that could explain Lucas' absence. Lucas could have rigged his apartment so he could hear everything the liars say. Hence why he insisted on given them his apartment

14. When Byron calls Aria in Radley (relating to the clue above) we see a man in a mask walk by and into a Limo, this would tie up with the fact that Lucas said he would be out of town so he wouldn't want to be seen.

15. Emily and Ali has a conversation in his apartment about her eggs and then A.D send eggs with a message "Give the killer or I'll use your eggs" to Emily - strange? I think so. I reckon they'll use Emil's eggs to make Ali pregnant.

16. When they get the 'fake Hanna doll', it says they have 24 hours. Caleb then looks at his phone for the time and it is 4:01. I have always found this odd. You have 24 hours either way so why look at  clock? But in 4X01, Mona reveals that Lucas was the one who gave Emily the massage in 'Touched by an A-ngel'.

17. Chelsea pointed out to me that Lucas is into game developing and is always coming up with different ideas for apps/games. Could he have perhaps designed the board game along with the truth or dare app on the phone?

18. On snapchat he was at the 7X20 table read, meaning he will be in the last ep (we think). AD is revealed in 7x20...whilst he may return as his own character or AD, we won't know until the REVEAL which is in 9 weeks!

19. Hanna and Lucas (after visiting Mona) saw Lucas walk out of Radley - he claimed he visited Mona, or did he? I reckon he visted Charlotte. Good friends, cousins? I don't know but I doubt it was Mona. That would also make sense as to why AD wants revenge for Charlotte's death/killer.

20. In 1X12, when Lucas' is at Hanna's party, he starts to get angry and when they both talk outside, Lucas gets ever worse and even says "considering what she [Alison] did to me I should have done way worse to her".

Unfortunately I need to wait an extra day to see PLL, Season 7B since I live in the UK - but get your predictions in the comments now before the FINAL REVEAL!
