Man, 24, dies after found injured in East Kilbride

Police are investigating the death of a young man who was found injured on a street near Lindsayfield Road.

A 24-year-old man was found lying on Lochranza Drive at around 2.20am on Sunday. Emergency services were called to the scene however he died a short time later.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “A post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death. Police are treating the death as unexplained in the meantime."

The Procurator Fiscal will be sent a report.
