The game ended when they found out who Charlotte's killer was. Meaning MONA can't be A.D! After all, A.D became A.D to avenge Charlotte's death, right?
We saw Aria seconds from being caught with Archer's body in the back of her car boot. Thankfully, she got away with it. But, it was just at that point she realised that she had an opportunity to turn herself in and protect her friends.
Whilst the girls were blocking Aria out, Ezra stood up for her reminding them they all have done things they regret and at the end of the day, A.D would have targeted anyone. Spencer then notices something beside the door...(remember this).
Ezra found her walking towards Rosewood PD and he stopped her so they could talk before she did anything stupid. After they spoke at The Brew, they were alarmed to discover the body had been taken from the boot - oh s***!
So, the thing Spencer spotted? A note in a wine glass which we all know that means Mary wants to talk. Spencer arrives at the Lost Woods and finds out that Mary is preparing to leave town. She then tells Spencer she is giving Ali and her the Lost Woods which will help towards any legal/financial situation they may end up in.
Mona found out that the game had been stolen from her apartment and in its place was a note asking her to meet someone for pie at the Two Crows diner...who else loves pie...Ezra! Could he be A.D after all, isn't it weird the person didn't show up (because he was trying to find Aria last minute) and chose pie. Did Marlene give us a hint? He is the only one that makes sense to me so far.
She was then given a note telling her to leave and she escape via a hidden tunnel in the ladies' toilets. Hanna went back to Rosewood whilst Caleb and Spencer searched for Mona.
THE SCENE WE HAD ALL BEEN WAITING FOR...although it wasn't as good as we had hoped, was it? Turns out it was just Emily dreaming (probably by that weird gas A.D was putting into their home). Nevertheless, it was a good scene but not as good as what they hyped it up to be.
Hanna meanwhile noticed petals falling from the top of the church so she went to investigate. There, she discovered Mona dressed as 'Loser Mona' - the version Charlotte saw her as.
She began calling Hanna Charlotte and almost threw her off the tower. Through flashbacks we saw Mona confront Charlotte as she held a screwdriver to her back, threatening to push her if she didn’t jump herself.
Then the twist came when Mona revealed that she only wanted to scare her as Charlotte wanted to re-start the game again. Charlotte and Mona began fighting and that all came to an end when Mona pushed her against the wall and was killed by a producing piece of metal on the wall.
As mentioned, A.D became A.D to avenge Charlotte's death. So since Mona confessed, this led to the final pieces of the puzzle being left for the Liars' to end the board game once and for all.

They put the pieces into the game, which had been moved to Alison’s house by A.D. and it revealed some creepy looking eyes behind a spider web (does this link have anything to do with Charlottes' web? That's the only link I have).
The phone from the game took the Liars to Alison’s Aunt Carol’s house which is where Archer's body was burred after being stolen from Aria's car. Aria convinced them to stop playing the game and walk away rather than dig up the body and get into more trouble. But as they left, Tanner and co. turned up and took the liars to the station.
Positive that they were about to be charged with murder, the Liars were shocked to see Mary in the interrogation room confessing to the murder of Archer and Jessica. While some knew she murdered Jessica, the Liars were shocked to see Mary take the fall for Archer knowing she didn’t do it. Alison was clearly upset her Aunt killed her sister and in turn, Spencer was upset her mum took the fall for her.
Tanner hinted that she knew the Liars' killed Archer and not Mary, but since she can't prove it, Tanner sent them home, free of charge.
Mary then put her finger to her lips telling Spencer not to say anything - protecting her and her friends.

The episode ended with what felt like an actual finale. They played such an emotional song as they showed the board game and the dolls. They also showed A.D driving into the sunset...gosh I can't wait to find out who A.D is and their motive!
Speaking of...the finale (*cries*) is next Tuesday and I am already crying! It will be a bitter-sweet goodbye but I genuinely am super excited for all the answers to be tied up in a neat bow.
