Yellow Campervan. Red Campervan. Whaaaa???
Yellow Campervan. Red Campervan. Whaaaa???
If you don't remember the yellow campervan from episode 1 that Alice was abducted in, then you are probably really confused. More confused than the rest of us...and that is pretty darn confused!
The Missing has many different time zones and whilst it is getting better keeping up with it, you can get confused as to what happened, where and when (no, you're not alone!). We first see a family in Switzerland in the present day when a young boy spots a red campervan hidden amongst the trees and in front of it, a dog barking. Firstly who's dog was that and why is it alone? and secondly WHY IS THERE A RED CAMPERVAN?!
Did you spot when it had a close up shot of the wheels, you could see it had been re-painted from yellow to red...hmmmm.
Back in 2014, we see Alice speak with a woman and Alice claims there was no bond between her and her abductor, yet later on in the episode she said she had happy times with him, speaking about a roller-coaster which I will get to later.
In present day, Nadia is seen deleting a photo from her phone. Is she worried he is guilty? or does she know he is guilty? Last week, I was told on Twitter that Nadia was the woman Matthew shouted at in the car-park...and I didn't even realise that!
Nadia closed the shop and there was something written on the outside. I am guessing it wasn't very nice. But who wrote it? The gang sitting outside? How did they know considering they wanted to keep the case quiet?
But Nadia then had a nasty accident in 2014 when two people in masks turned up and well, you can kinda guess what happens from the way her teeth looked in the present day - OUCH!
Baptiste visits Alice, per her request, and let's just say it is my favourite scene!!! Speaking in French, he says:
Before he said it:
After he said it:
You alright there 'Alice'?
Oh, no...maybe not (and neither was Sam after he pushed Baptiste!). The moment we were all waiting for happened when he asked Gemma if they had ever considered a DNA test... HURRAH!
Alice asked Matthew to keep a promise that he would tell Kristian that she was sorry. But why? What did she do? Lie? Oh yeah, and after locking her up in the shed she sets it on fire with her in it and that's how Sam gets the scars! That's one less problem to solve, eh? Oh yeah...but why did she do that?
After looking through roller-coaster photos (the ones that take pictures of you at the top of the ride), Gemma ran to Detective Lanhart but couldn't find him, so went to Eve instead. Showing her a picture she found and explaining where 'Alice' had been, she showed her this photo:
After Eve saying it was Alice, Gemma replied "No, look at the girl sitting next to her. That's Alice. That's my daughter".
The girl on the right is definitely the girl, stranger or Sophie that has come back, but the girl beside her, that is Alice!
True, true. Trouble is I love Roger Allam and don't want him to be evil. Great blog by the way.
